Staying hydrated while traveling is extremely important, but also easy to forget or oversee.

Whether you simply forget to drink water, get dehydrated from dry airplanes, or enjoying a few too many beverages while on holiday, staying hydrated can be definitely while traveling.
The easiest way to make sure that you stay hydrated is by constantly having a water bottle with you. Having a visible, physical reminder makes it almost impossible to forget to drink water. A reusable bottle is always the best option, as it will reduce plastic waste, and you can continuously refill it, which is cheaper than constantly buying bottles.
If you are on an airplane, make sure that you are drinking water throughout the entire flight. The air on a plane is unusually dry and mix that with the change in altitude and pressure, it’s not a good combination! When the flight attendants come around and offer beverage service, remember that alcohol, coffee and tea can actually dehydrate you further, so maybe just opt for water instead!
While on holiday, most people indulge in a few extra adult beverages. While it’s all well and good to enjoy alcohol on a trip, just remember that this will dehydrate your body further. If you are drinking, a good rule of thumb that I have found is that for ever drink consumed, have a glass of water after to accompany it. So if you are have 2-4 drinks, you are also having 2-4 glasses of water (this will also help reduce risks of hangovers!).
What are some of your tips for staying hydrated? I’d love to hear from you!
