Ushuaia, aka the “end of the world” is the Southern most point of South America and located on the Tierra del Fuego, and the Southern most city in the world. It is a beautiful little city located in the footsteps of mountains, right on the Beagle Channel, and also the launching point for many adventures, including hiking, site seeing, penguin viewings, and even cruises to Antarctica.

Wexford, Ireland is on the beautiful Southeast coast of Ireland, and offers some truly spectacular beaches and coastline that go on for miles, that can be hard to find in the rest of Ireland. While there are endless things to do in Wexford, especially if you’re in the main town, there are plenty of day trips all around that are worth your while to explore. The easiest way to get around would be if you have your own car, but you can often schedule a tour or hire a driver as well to get you where you need to go. Having lived not far from Wexford town, I’ve made a list of my 5 favorite day trips that shouldn’t be missed!

Looking back at our most recent hikes has helped pass these days where we’re all stuck at home, National Parks are closed, and we can’t explore nature like we’d like to. When we moved out to Oregon last fall, one of the first hikes we did was up in Mount Rainier National Park, in Washington State. The trail we chose was the Skyline Trail, which is basically a big loop all around the famous Paradise Park, and is one of the best hikes for seeing the meadow as well as the views available at the 6,800 ft. peak, aptly named Panorama Point.

Bonus, you don’t need a car to access it from Portland, you can get there walking from the NW district.
